| |
| Q: | Which policy is best for me? |
| A: | If you are travelling more than twice a year, you should consider taking out the Multi Trip policy, as this can be more cost effective. You can take out a Multi Trip policy to Europe only, Worldwide excluding the USA or Worldwide including USA. For a small additional premium you can also include Winter Sport cover. If you travel only once a year, then the Single Trip policy is probably for you

| |
| Q: | Why would I want an Annual Multi-Trip insurance policy?
| A: | If you travel throughout the year on a number of trips, there is an ideal policy for you, which insures you for up to 60 days of travel in a year. So for those who travel on a summer holiday and a ski holiday these policies represent superb value.

| Q: | If my family has an Annual policy can we travel separately?
| A: | Yes you can travel independently from each other. However, children (under 17 years) can only travel unaccompanied as long as they have the permission of the main insured person and they are accompanied to and from the airport or other international departure point and met at their destination by a responsible adult over the age of 21.

| Q: | When does my cover start if I take out an Annual policy?
| A: | Your insurance cover will commence on the Start Date noted on your policy Schedule. It is advisable to start your Annual Multi-Trip policy on the same day that you pay for your policy as from that date onwards you are covered for cancellation for any trips you may have already booked.

| Q: | When does my cover start if I take out a Single trip policy? |
| A: | Single trip policies are designed to protect between specific dates. You must be leaving and returning to Ireland. However you do have cancellation cover from the day that you purchase the policy.

| |
| Q: | What if I lose my passport or have it stolen overseas? |
| A: | Immediately report it to the local police and the nearest British Consulate, Embassy or High Commission. They will report the loss to the UK passport service and provide replacement travel documentation |
| |
| |
| Q: | What do I do if my flight has been delayed and my insurance policy has run out?
| A: | Your policy is still valid, as long as there are no other options for returning you home. You must remember to obtain a confirmatory receipt from the airline confirming the reasons for the delay.

| |
| Q: | Are pre existing medical conditions covered?
| A: | No, your insurance policy will not cover you for any pre existing medical conditions. Insurance policies do not cover passengers for any medical conditions they are already aware of at the time of booking the policy, this also applies to existing medical conditions of any individual whose health condition would force passengers to cut short or cancel their holiday |

| A: | 2 people in a relationship living together at the same household
| |
| |
| Q: | What is the definition of a child
| A: | Rooney Insurances acknowledge that children are in the education system longer than before, so we define a child as someone who is living at home, in full time education. When travelling as a child they must be accompanied by a parent travelling on the same policy. Otherwise if they are over the age of 17 they should take out the adult policy.
